AUSTIN, Texas– A bill limiting protests at public universities in Texas is awaiting the approval of Governor Greg Abbott.

The bill, passed by the Texas Legislature, outlines restrictions on protest activities at educational institutions.

The bill states that it does not intend to limit the freedom of speech or expression protected by the First Amendment or the Texas Constitution.

However, some critics have expressed concerns about potential restrictions on constitutional rights.
