AUSTIN, Texas- Several major grocery stores and popular retail chains will open their doors on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024. Shoppers in the area looking to make last-minute purchases have a range of options available. The following is a rundown of some key stores and their operating hours during this festive day.

H-E-B, a favorite among Texans for groceries, confirms it will open on Christmas Eve. The store will welcome customers from early morning until late afternoon, providing ample time for individuals to finalize their holiday preparations. H-E-B has assured that its popular sections, including the bakery and fresh produce aisles, will be fully stocked to meet festive demands.

Kroger is another major grocery chain ready to serve Austin residents on Christmas Eve. Opening hours for Kroger will align with early risers, allowing shoppers to access groceries and other essentials. The management emphasizes a commitment to maintaining a seamless shopping experience, with additional staff allocated to handle increased foot traffic anticipated on this busy shopping day.

Walmart, known for its wide array of products beyond groceries, will also be available for last-minute holiday shopping. Its stores across Austin are set to open their doors early and will extend their hours into the evening. The retail giant ensures that special holiday discounts and promotions will continue on Christmas Eve, attracting customers seeking both gifts and everyday household items.

For those seeking not just groceries but also a variety of other products, Target will be among the open stores on Christmas Eve. Customers can expect Target to operate during standard hours, with all departments from electronics to clothing ready to meet shopper needs. Target has focused on ensuring stock availability, particularly for high-demand holiday items.

Costco, known for its bulk items and competitive pricing, will open on Christmas Eve. The store will commence operations in the morning and plans to close earlier than usual in the evening. Costco advises customers to plan their shopping trips in advance, as the store anticipates a high volume of visitors. Special holiday items are featured prominently in Costco’s display, making it a one-stop-shop for many holiday planners.

Starbucks, a regular caffeine stop for many Austinites, will also welcome customers looking for a quick pick-me-up during their holiday errands. While not all locations may be open, select Starbucks outlets have confirmed operations on Christmas Eve. Hours may vary by location, so customers are encouraged to check local store timings. Starbucks has announced the availability of its festive drinks menu, which continues to be a seasonal attraction.

Other stores, including various local grocery outlets and specialty shops, are preparing to open on Christmas Eve as well. Many are planning festive promotions to attract holiday shoppers. It is advisable for consumers to verify the hours of operation with individual stores to ensure they meet their shopping objectives.
