The City of Austin on Thursday approved a $150,000 incentive package for the Apple TV series “Brothers,” starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, which will film in Austin, Texas.

The incentive was authorized through Austin’s film and television production program, which supports media projects in the city.

“Brothers” will stream on Apple TV+. The production must track local spending and report data to the city for compliance. It must also follow city ordinances, including permitting, public safety, and use of public spaces during filming.

City staff said the program supports local jobs and spending in Austin’s film and television sector. Representatives for the production coordinated with the city’s film office as part of the application and review process.
