DALLAS, Texas — Authorities are investigating the discovery of at least 10 submerged vehicles in a pond at Lake Cliff Park, located in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas.
The Dallas Police Department began recovery efforts on Thursday afternoon. As of 5 p.m., four vehicles had been retrieved from the pond. . The length of time the vehicles have been submerged remains unknown.
Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel, including divers and heavy equipment operators, are assisting with the operation.
Authorities are examining the recovered vehicles for potential links to criminal activity, including any connection to local missing persons or unsolved cases. No such connections have been confirmed at this stage.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and have not released information on the ownership or origin of the vehicles. The department stated that further updates will be provided as more evidence is collected and analyzed.
The discovery comes as Dallas prepares to host the annual Dallas Pride Parade. Officials have not indicated any connection between the submerged vehicles and the upcoming event but said security plans are being reviewed as a precaution.
