Police have made two arrests following an investigation into a series of robberies in Northeast Dallas. According to a police statement, 19-year-old Jontae Anderson and 21-year-old Curtis Carter are facing several charges.

Anderson was charged with aggravated robbery, while Carter, identified as Anderson’s associate, was arrested on outstanding warrants for indecent exposure, evading arrest, and probation violation.

The investigation began after multiple robberies occurred in late August in the area. Detectives connected the crimes and gathered evidence leading to the arrests of Anderson and Carter, including surveillance footage from a robbery scene.

On September 1, officers arrested the two suspects and executed a search warrant, uncovering a short-barreled AR-15 rifle, three pistols, over 200 rounds of ammunition, and a stolen purse tied to one of the robberies.

Further details regarding the robberies are currently unavailable.

Deputy Chief William Griffith stated, “Our detectives and officers are relentless in their goal to keep Dallas safe. Criminals may think they are avoiding arrest, but that isn’t true. We will find you and we will arrest you!”

Anderson and Carter remain detained at the Dallas County Jail, with Anderson’s bond set at $150,000 and Carter’s bond set at a total of $1,000.
