MANILA, Philippines — Actress Anne Curtis had her flight to Dubai rerouted to Milan amid ongoing Middle East airstrikes following U.S. and Israeli attacks in Iran and subsequent retaliation by Iranian forces in U.S.-allied states.
Curtis, en route to visit her “little family” in the United Arab Emirates, shared on Instagram Stories Sunday, March 1, that high-speed jets near her plane prompted the pilot to turn back.
“Was on my way to meet my little fam in Dubai when I noticed a high speed jet flying beside us,” she said, adding that all flights to the Middle East had been grounded due to the conflict. Reports indicated that Dubai International Airport sustained damage from Iranian strikes.
“Praying for all the families in the Middle East. Sa mga kababayan natin, ingat po. Stay safe everyone. Hoping things ease soon,” Curtis posted.
The “It’s Showtime” host had just traveled from Italy to attend the Gucci show at Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026. She joins other Filipino celebrities using social media to raise awareness and express concern over the escalating conflict.
