WASHINGTON — Amazon is expanding access to Eli Lilly’s newly approved GLP-1 weight-loss pill, Foundayo, by offering it at in-clinic kiosks and through same-day delivery, the company said.

Amazon Pharmacy will stock the pill at kiosks inside some One Medical primary care clinics, while customers in select areas can receive same-day delivery. The pill does not require refrigeration, which allows it to be safely stored and dispensed from kiosks, according to Amazon Pharmacy vice president Tanvi Patel.

About half of U.S. customers currently have access to same-day delivery, with plans to expand that service, while all customers can receive medications within four days. Amazon has been delivering GLP-1 medications since 2021 and began stocking Novo Nordisk’s oral Wegovy pill at select kiosks earlier this year.

Foundayo was recently launched through Eli Lilly’s direct-to-consumer platform, LillyDirect, with prices starting at $149 per month for the lowest dose for cash-paying customers. Amazon Pharmacy fulfills prescriptions from LillyDirect and provides delivery options through partners such as WeightWatchers.

Amazon introduced pharmacy kiosks last year to improve access to medications and reduce shipping costs. The company said it plans to expand kiosks beyond California, subject to state regulations, as part of a broader effort to grow its healthcare and delivery services, including multibillion-dollar investments in faster delivery for rural and underserved areas.
