AUSTIN, Texas — An Amazon Flex delivery driver reported that her vehicle was stolen on Monday afternoon while she was delivering packages in a residential area of North Austin.

According to the Austin Police Department, the driver had momentarily stepped away from her car to complete a delivery.

When she returned, the vehicle was no longer at the location where it had been parked. The car contained several packages scheduled for delivery at the time of the theft.

Police are investigating the incident and reviewing surveillance footage from nearby homes and businesses to identify potential suspects. Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the theft to contact the department.

Amazon has been notified of the incident and is cooperating with law enforcement. The company confirmed that the driver was operating under its Amazon Flex program, which relies on independent contractors who use their vehicles for package deliveries.

No injuries were reported in connection with the theft. The driver is seeking the community’s help in locating her vehicle and the missing packages.

The investigation remains ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
