SEOUL — BTS confirmed strong global demand as all tickets for the first three shows of their upcoming “Arirang” world tour sold out during presales on Thursday.
The tour will begin on April 9, 11, and 12 at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Tickets were available first to official fan club members, followed by general sales on Friday, with identity-verified accounts required for purchase.
Big Hit Music, BTS’ agency, warned that ticket purchases through unofficial channels—including resale, transfers, proxy purchases, and scalping—are prohibited and may result in cancellations or denied entry.
Presales for North American dates began on Friday at 3 p.m. PST, with general sales opening the following day. In response to high demand, the agency added one additional show each in Tampa, Florida, and Stanford, California. BTS will become the second artist to headline a solo concert at Stanford Stadium, following Coldplay.
The “Arirang” tour, BTS’ first world tour in nearly four years, will continue with concerts at Tokyo Dome on April 17 and 18 before spanning North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. The tour includes 81 shows across 34 cities, marking the largest number of performances ever for a K-pop tour.
BTS is also set to release their fifth album, “Arirang,” on March 20, featuring 14 tracks.
