Alex Eala powers into Jingshan Open quarterfinals

Filipina tennis player Alex Eala defeated Japan’s Mei Yamaguchi with a score of 6-0, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals of the Jingshan Tennis Open on Thursday in China.

The 20-year-old Eala needed only 72 minutes to secure the victory against Yamaguchi, who is ranked World No. 268.

In the first set, Eala blanked Yamaguchi with a 6-0 win, displaying dominant performance.

Eala’s victory at the Jingshan Open follows a series of impressive performances by the young athlete.

Eala now progresses to the quarterfinal stage of the tournament, further establishing her presence in the international tennis circuit.
