MANILA, Philippines – Aleah Finnegan, a talented gymnast, is uncertain about her participation in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. However, she is committed to supporting the development of gymnastics in the Philippines. Finnegan joined fellow Olympic athlete Emma Malabuyo in Manila for the Yes Girl training clinic at the MVPSF Gymnastics Center in Intramuros on Sunday.

The clinic aims to inspire young gymnasts and promote skills development. Participants engaged in various drills and exercises led by Finnegan and Malabuyo. The two athletes shared their experiences, offering guidance to the younger generation.

Finnegan emphasized the importance of local competitions and training programs. She expressed her desire to use her platform to encourage more young athletes. The athletes encouraged participants to pursue their dreams and remain dedicated to the sport.

Local coaches also attended the clinic to learn from the Olympians. They received tips on training techniques and athlete development. Finnegan and Malabuyo highlighted the significance of building a strong foundation in gymnastics.

Despite her uncertainty about the future Olympics, Finnegan remains passionately involved in promoting the sport. She believes that nurturing local talent will lead to more opportunities for Filipino gymnasts on the international stage.

Malabuyo echoed Finnegan’s sentiments. She spoke about her own journey and the challenges she faced while competing at the Olympic level. The athletes emphasized resilience and hard work as key factors in achieving success.

The participants at the clinic showed enthusiasm and excitement throughout the sessions. Young gymnasts practiced routines, showcased their skills, and received constructive feedback from the Olympians.

Many parents attended the event, expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to learn from experienced athletes. They hope that the clinic will inspire their children to continue training and push their limits.

The Yes Girl training clinic is part of a larger initiative to strengthen gymnastics in the country. Finnegan and Malabuyo are dedicated to fostering a vibrant gymnastics community in the Philippines.
