The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Tuesday addressed allegations by Cavite Representative Kiko Barzaga Jr. concerning P15 billion in so-called “ghost projects” linked to the military.
The AFP declared Barzaga’s claims as based on inaccurate information.
The military clarified its involvement in the TIKAS program, asserting that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) handles funds for the projects.
The AFP emphasized that the DPWH oversees the bidding and construction processes under this initiative.
The military stressed the necessity of verifying claims before making any public statements.
Barzaga was recently removed from the Philippine Army Reserve Force.
