SAN ANTONIO — Academy Sports + Outdoors will launch a statewide back-to-school promotion by giving away promotional cards to customers at its Texas stores on Saturday, Aug. 1.
The retailer said the first 125 customers in line who are 18 years old or older at each of its 117 Texas locations will receive a promotional card worth up to $100.
The promotional cards may be used for in-store purchases during the weekend promotion.
Academy said it plans to distribute $702,000 in promotional cards statewide as families shop for the upcoming school year and fall sports season.
The giveaway begins when stores open Saturday morning. Customers are encouraged to arrive early, as promotional cards will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
