AUSTIN, Texas– Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed Senate Bills 4 and 23 and House Bill 9 on Tuesday in Austin, Texas, to implement property tax cuts statewide.
The bills, which are constitutional amendments, require voter approval in November for enactment.
Republican lawmakers, including Abbott, have promoted these measures as part of ongoing efforts to provide tax relief to homeowners, seniors, and small business owners across Texas.
The signing took place at a public ceremony attended by lawmakers and community members. The proposed amendments aim to alleviate the financial burden on property owners by adjusting tax rates and providing exemptions.
Supporters of the bills claim they would result in significant savings for taxpayers if approved. The upcoming November vote will determine the future of these tax relief measures in the state.
