Houston, TX – The Asian Chamber of Commerce recently honored the top 10 fastest-growing Asian-owned businesses in Houston, recognizing successful companies that have been in operation for three or more years and have made a significant impact within the local community. This prestigious recognition took place during the annual Asian Chamber Business Expo, which showcased over 50 exhibitors presenting a diverse array of products and services.
For over 34 years, the Asian Chamber of Commerce has been a vital supporter of the business community in Houston. The event featured a business luncheon and the Rising 10 Awards, highlighting the achievements of the fastest-growing Asian-owned companies in the region.

The Rising 10 Awards spotlighted companies that met specific qualifications:
- Annual revenue of $250,000 or more in any of the years 2021-2023.
- At least three years in business.
- Headquartered in the U.S. with an office in Houston.
- At least 50% Asian-owned.
- The applicant must be a C-level executive or founder/chairman.
- A minimum of 2 employees.
The selection process for the Rising 10 Awards was rigorous, involving a third-party audit, submission of proof of community involvement through socio-cultural activities, and a one-on-one interview.
Among this year’s honorees was Gerry’s Grill, a popular Filipino restaurant known for its family-sized dishes and live music. The award recognized their business acumen and leadership in achieving strong growth over the past few years.
In an interview with Lawin Faces & Voices, Gerry’s Grill business partner Liz V. Dela Rosa emphasized the significance of the award, particularly in the context of the challenges faced during the COVID pandemic. She noted that this recognition holds great meaning not just for the restaurant, but also for the Filipino community, showcasing pride among their patrons.
