The TNT Tropang Giga achieved a significant milestone in the PBA Philippine Cup by securing their first season victory against the San Miguel Beermen, triumphing with a final score of 89-84. This pivotal match took place on Sunday at the Ynares Center, marking an end to TNT’s troubling three-game losing streak that had marred the onset of their season.

A standout performance by Calvin Oftana was instrumental in securing the win for TNT. Oftana not only achieved his first career 20-20 game but led his team with 23 points, 21 rebounds, and six assists. His exceptional performance was complemented by Simon Enciso, who contributed 13 points, including a critical three-pointer that helped tilt the game in TNT’s favor against his former team.

The victory is a relief for TNT Tropang Giga, who have set their sights on a historic Grand Slam in the season-ending tournament. By adding this win to their record, TNT enters the win column for the 2025 PBA Philippine Cup, restoring momentum and confidence within the team.

This recent triumph is expected to bolster TNT’s campaign as they strive to achieve their ambitious goals for the season. Moving forward, the team hopes to build on this success and maintain a competitive edge as the tournament progresses.
