A Russian missile strike on Friday killed 18 people, including nine children, in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s home city of Kryvyi Rih.
Authorities confirmed the missile hit a residential area, destroying buildings near a children’s playground.
More than 40 individuals sustained injuries in the attack, according to officials.
The incident marks one of the deadliest strikes in Kryvyi Rih since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
