The YGG Play Summit, a significant event in the web3 gaming space, kicked off with a press conference held in Manila. Set to occur from November 18 to 25, the summit promises to be an important gathering for web3 gaming enthusiasts and industry stakeholders. The event’s central theme revolves around exploring the future of gaming, particularly how web3 technology is reshaping digital ownership.

During the press conference, Mench Dizon, the Country Lead of YGG Pilipinas, provided insights into what attendees can expect. She emphasized the summit’s goal of offering a comprehensive look into web3 gaming. The event will feature more than 90 speakers and 40 web3 games, providing opportunities for networking and discussions on the evolution of digital games. The event will also host the GAM3 Awards 2024, marking the first in-person ceremony for these awards.

Participants from various sectors will converge in Manila, making it a hub for web3 gaming. The summit is organized by Yield Guild Games (YGG), known for its commitment to advancing gaming in the web3 space. The event will take place across multiple venues in Bonifacio Global City, a bustling business district in the Philippines.

One of the highlights of the summit is the collaboration between YGG Pilipinas and Immutable. Together, they are launching the mobile game Guild of Guardians (GOG). This partnership signifies a step forward in promoting web3 gaming in the Philippines. YGG Pilipinas, as an anchor partner, is instrumental in driving the launch of GOG, a mobile RPG game, emphasizing the importance of web3 technology in the gaming industry.

The collaboration aims to make GOG accessible to a wider audience in the Philippines and globally. The game’s release is part of a broader strategy to boost the presence of web3 games, with YGG Pilipinas and Immutable leading the effort. This partnership underscores the growing interest in web3 gaming and its potential to transform the digital landscape.

The summit will also address the broader implications of web3, including its impact on digital ownership. Discussions will cover topics such as decentralized finance and the role of blockchain in redefining ownership. Experts and industry leaders will share insights on these topics, fostering a dialogue on the future of play and work in a digital age.
