NEW ORLEANS — Saddiq Bey has agreed to a three-year, $55.5 million contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans, his agents at Excel Sports Management announced Thursday.
ESPN first reported the agreement.
Bey, a veteran power forward, averaged 17.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last season in his first year with New Orleans.
The season also marked Bey’s return after he missed the entire 2024-25 campaign with a torn ligament in his left knee.
The Pelicans acquired Bey after he spent most of his first three NBA seasons with the Detroit Pistons. Atlanta later acquired him in a trade.
Bey entered the NBA as the No. 19 overall pick in the 2020 draft after playing at Villanova.
He has averaged 14.8 points and 5.3 rebounds while playing about 30.4 minutes per game across his NBA career.
The new deal keeps Bey under contract with New Orleans through the next three seasons.
