HOUSTON — Houston police responded to a reported bomb threat involving a Southwest Airlines flight at William P. Hobby Airport Saturday evening, prompting a security response while the airport remained operational.
Houston police said they received a call about a reported “hazard” at the airport shortly before 7:30 p.m. Airport officials later confirmed that the report involved a Southwest flight.
Police launched an investigation into the report as passengers experienced disruptions while authorities assessed the situation.
Initial reports did not indicate that the airport had closed, and officials said Hobby Airport remained operational.
