MANILA, Philippines — Gwendoline Meliz Soriano of Baguio City and Sasha-Juli Belle Lacuna of Tarlac won the top titles at the 62nd Binibining Pilipinas pageant held Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Soriano was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International, while Lacuna earned the Binibining Pilipinas Globe title during the coronation night.

Soriano was originally set to compete in the 2022 pageant but withdrew for personal reasons. She later represented Baguio City in the 2025 Miss Universe Philippines pageant, where she finished in the Top 12.

Lacuna previously won the Binibining Kanlahi pageant, which qualified her for the 2025 Miss Universe Philippines competition, where she placed in the Top 24.

The two titleholders each received a P1 million cash prize.

Soriano succeeded Katrina Anne Johnson, who is scheduled to represent the Philippines at the 2026 Miss International pageant in Tokyo this November. Soriano will compete in the 2027 edition of the international competition.

Lacuna received her crown from Annabelle McDonnell, who finished in the Top 10 of The Miss Globe pageant in Albania last year. She will represent the Philippines at this year’s The Miss Globe pageant in Thailand.

Julianne Raine Antonio of Dumaguete City finished as first runner-up, while Tracy Mae Sunio of Bacolod City was named second runner-up. Both received P400,000 in cash prizes.

During the final question-and-answer round, the four finalists were asked what future they envisioned for themselves and how a Binibining Pilipinas title would help them achieve it.

Soriano said she hopes to become “an aspirational leader” and inspire others to pursue their dreams and remain faithful.

Lacuna said she joined the pageant to continue the organization’s legacy of charity and public service.

Antonio said the competition taught her strength and empowered her to uplift others.

Sunio said she hopes to advance her advocacy for holistic elderly wellness, which she said became more meaningful after the death of her father.

The pageant also featured 2025 Miss International Catalina Duque of Colombia and 2025 The Miss Globe Cheraim Chayathanus Saradatta of Thailand as special guests and members of the judging panel.

Other judges included 1969 Miss Universe Gloria Diaz, professional basketball player Scottie Thompson and Sen. Risa Hontiveros.
