Barbie Forteza said she once walked out of a scheduled television guest appearance after waiting for hours beyond her call time and learning that another guest had been prioritized during the production.
Forteza made the account during an episode of the “TRGGRD” podcast aired on May 8, where she discussed her work experiences and professional boundaries.
She said she arrived at an 11 a.m. call time after finishing a prior taping at 7 a.m. and requested the night before if the schedule could be adjusted, but production staff declined.
Forteza said she and her mother remained at the set past 1 p.m. without being called, and later learned that another guest had been given priority due to a closer relationship with the director.
She said the guesting involved a blocktimed production and occurred several years earlier. She did not identify the individuals involved.
Forteza said she decided to leave the set after the extended delay, citing lack of rest, and said production later contacted her when it was her turn. She declined to return.
She said the production staff and host later apologized and acknowledged issues with the handling of the schedule.
Forteza said she raised the experience to emphasize the importance of respecting time and maintaining professionalism in production settings.
