MANILA, Philippines — Actress Bea Alonzo and businessman Vincent Co remain in a relationship despite reports that their supposed wedding in Spain would no longer push through, according to a source familiar with the couple’s plans.
The source told Inquirer Entertainment on Wednesday that the couple had supposedly scheduled the wedding for May 14 in Spain, contrary to earlier reports that it would take place on May 15.
“The wedding is supposedly tomorrow, May 14,” the source said. “But it’s officially off.”
The source said Alonzo is currently in Spain with her family, while Co remains in the Philippines and is expected to attend a business event on the same day.
The source also denied reports circulating on social media claiming that the wedding had only been postponed and would proceed at a later date.
“That’s not true,” the source said.
The source added that the couple continues to discuss the situation.
“They’re trying to work it out pa,” the source said.
Earlier reports cited another source who claimed disagreements over provisions in the couple’s prenuptial agreement led to the cancellation of the wedding.
Actress Dimples Romana and her husband, Boyet Ahmee, posted photos from Spain on social media. Fans also reportedly spotted Alonzo’s family at an airport in Madrid.
Alonzo has been an official resident of Spain since 2022 after purchasing an apartment in Madrid. Co is the son of businessman Lucio Co and currently heads several companies in the Philippines.
Alonzo and Co have not publicly commented on the reports about their relationship or wedding plans.
