After making waves with their comeback album Arirang, K-pop sensation BTS is returning with their hit web variety series, Run BTS, following a three-year hiatus.

The group announced the new season, titled Run BTS 2.0, through a teaser video on their official YouTube channel. It is set to premiere on April 7 at 9 p.m., according to the Korea Times.

Originally airing from 2015 to 2023, Run BTS featured the seven members competing in games and challenges, attracting a massive global following and cementing itself as a core part of BTS’s online presence. The first 155 regular episodes (2015–2021) amassed 140 million views on YouTube, while ten special episodes released from 2022–2023 added another 130 million views. One 2023 episode, in which the members tried flying yoga, alone reached 30 million views.

During the group’s hiatus for mandatory military service, member Jin hosted a spinoff series, Run Jin, from 2024 to 2025 after completing his service.
