MANILA, Philippines — Actress Marian Rivera has put to rest circulating rumors that her marriage with actor Dingdong Dantes is in trouble, following a viral blind item about a high-profile celebrity couple.
The blind item, which spread on social media earlier this week, claimed that a “power couple” was experiencing relationship problems due to one spouse’s alleged infidelity. Given the limited number of high-profile couples in local showbiz, some speculated it referred to Marian and Dingdong.
Marian personally dismissed the speculation when contacted by entertainment columnist Rose Garcia, who recounted the exchange during the Jan. 8 episode of the online show Marites University.
“Ni-message ko si Yan. Sabi ko, ‘I’m sure aware ka sa blind item kung saan sa comments section kayong dalawa ni Dong ang binabanggit,’” Garcia shared.
Marian reportedly called Garcia, showing a photo of her and Dingdong smiling together during their son Sixto’s football practice, and expressed disbelief over the rumors. “‘Ate, jusme. Ano ba ‘yang mga blind item na ‘yan? Parang sanay na sila kasi parang every year, lalo na raw ‘pag January, palaging may ganyang chika,’” Garcia said.
The couple celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary on December 30, 2025, and are also parents to daughter Zia.
