Georgetown, Texas, unveiled a record 2,000 flags on Sunday during the annual Field of Honor ceremony at San Gabriel Park, honoring veterans and first responders.

The ninth annual event began with a formal opening ceremony attended by local residents and community leaders. Organizers said the display serves as a tribute to the sacrifices and contributions of the area’s heroes.

This year’s Field of Honor raised over $250,000, with proceeds benefiting local organizations that provide support to veterans and first responders. Attendees had the opportunity to dedicate flags to specific individuals who have served.

Participants were encouraged to visit the park throughout the week to reflect on those honored. The Rotary Club of Georgetown played a key role in organizing the event, and local officials expressed gratitude to volunteers and donors for their contributions.

The Field of Honor display will remain open daily through Veterans Day, offering the community a space to pay tribute and remember the service of veterans and first responders.
