Terrence Romeo is set to return to 3×3 basketball as he joins Manila Melmac in the FIBA 3×3 Manila Challenger on Sept. 20–21 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, marking his comeback to the halfcourt scene after nearly a decade.

Former PBA star Terrence Romeo is stepping back onto the 3×3 stage after his contract with Terrafirma expired, confirming his participation in the upcoming FIBA 3×3 Manila Challenger.

Romeo will suit up for Manila Melmac alongside Mac Tallo, Abdul Sawat, and Henry Iloka in the two-day tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the FIBA 3×3 Macau Masters. Melmac Sports shared photos on Instagram of Romeo joining training sessions ahead of the competition.

This event will mark Romeo’s first official appearance since playing for Terrafirma in its season-ending Philippine Cup game last June, and his first 3×3 stint since 2015.

Romeo last saw action in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour back in 2014 and 2015, when he teamed up with KG Canaleta, Rey Guevarra, and Aldrech Ramos under Manila West. The group captured the 2014 Manila Masters title at SM Megamall, advancing to the World Tour Final where they bowed out in the quarterfinals. They attempted a title defense in 2015 at Robinsons Manila but fell in the semifinals to Manila North. Romeo, however, took home the three-point shootout crown.
