In West Harris County, a road rage encounter escalated into a shootout on Saturday midnight.

According to the sheriff’s office, a deputy witnessed a driver run a red light at Clay Road and Greenhouse around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The deputy pulled the driver over and found that he had been shot.

The driver was then transported to the hospital and is in stable condition.

Authorities concluded that the man was involved in a shootout following a road rage incident and minor collision with a box truck.

The box truck’s driver sustained a gunshot wound to the arm, though their condition remains unspecified.

Several individuals were taken into custody by the police.

Deputies are currently reviewing surveillance footage of the incident.
