San Antonio Zoo donates 20,000 tickets, valued at over half a million dollars, to families impacted by Texas Hill Country floods.

Texas residents can visit the zoo for a reduced rate of $10. During this period, for every purchased ticket, the zoo will donate an admission ticket to those impacted by the floods. The zoo aims to provide a relief effort through these donations.

The campaign is part of the zoo’s efforts to engage the community and support recovery from the recent flooding, which caused significant damage in the region. The donated tickets will be distributed to affected families, first responders, and volunteers after the campaign concludes.

Sean Greene, the President and CEO of San Antonio Zoo, stated that the initiative underscores the zoo’s commitment to supporting the community in times of need. The zoo invites the community to participate and help support those affected while enjoying the zoo’s offerings.

The flooding in Texas Hill Country caused widespread disruption, affecting numerous families and communities. The zoo’s initiative seeks to offer a semblance of normalcy and leisure to those affected while also recognizing the efforts of volunteers and first responders.

The “Zoo Cares: Together for Texans” initiative not only aims to provide entertainment and relief to flood-affected families but also to encourage the public to visit the zoo and contribute to the relief efforts. The San Antonio Zoo has a history of community involvement and sees this initiative as a continuation of its mission to support local communities.

Throughout the campaign, the zoo will also engage in other activities aimed at raising awareness and support for flood victims. The zoo has encouraged residents to participate in this initiative and support the broader effort to assist those affected by the natural disaster.

The San Antonio Zoo, located in Brackenridge Park, remains a popular destination for families and visitors. Opening its doors to those impacted by the flooding represents a significant community effort at a challenging time for many in the region.

The complimentary tickets, expected to provide both relief and support, reflect the zoo’s ongoing commitment to community-focused initiatives. The zoo hopes that this effort will bring some comfort to families and individuals recovering from the flood’s impact.
