GOA, INDIA — Cristiano Ronaldo will play in India for the first time when Al-Nassr faces FC Goa in a Group D match of the Asian Champions League Two, officials announced following the tournament draw on Friday.

The match will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa. Al-Nassr, the Saudi Arabian club featuring Ronaldo and other high-profile players, was grouped with FC Goa and Istiklol of Tajikistan in Asia’s second-tier club competition.

FC Goa qualified for the tournament based on its performance in the Indian Super League (ISL) and has begun preparations with intensive training sessions. Al-Nassr enters the competition with experience in regional tournaments and aims to advance to the knockout stage.

The fixture marks the first competitive meeting between the two clubs. FC Goa officials described the match as a rare opportunity for the team and its supporters. Organizers expect increased attendance and extensive media coverage due to Ronaldo’s participation.

The Asian Champions League Two provides a platform for clubs across Asia to compete internationally. Group stage matches will determine advancement to the next phase of the tournament. FC Goa will look to capitalize on home-ground advantage, while Al-Nassr plans to field a strong squad.

Local authorities and event coordinators are preparing for the expected influx of fans and media. The match is expected to draw national attention and contribute to the growing interest in football across India.

Tournament dates and additional match details will be released by the Asian Football Confederation.
