SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A vehicle belonging to a popular food blogger was stolen early Friday morning in a South Austin neighborhood, prompting a police investigation and widespread concern after it was revealed the blogger’s dog was inside the car at the time of the theft.

The incident occurred in the early hours on a residential street. According to local authorities, the blogger had parked the car shortly before it was taken. Upon discovering the theft, the blogger contacted law enforcement immediately, reporting both the stolen vehicle and the missing pet.

The South Austin Police Department has launched an active search for the vehicle and is asking residents to remain alert. Descriptions of the car and images of the dog have been circulated online to aid in search efforts.

The blogger, who has built a large online following through food-related content, expressed distress over the situation, particularly due to concerns for the dog’s safety. The blogger has since posted on social media asking for help from followers and the public, sharing identifying details and images of the dog.

Community members have responded by organizing search parties and sharing posts widely on digital platforms. Local news outlets are also covering the story, amplifying the appeal for assistance.

Police are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information about the vehicle or dog’s whereabouts to contact the South Austin Police Department.
