San Antonio Public Library will host a school supply swap event at the Potranco Branch Library in San Antonio on August 3.

The event will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., offering families the opportunity to both contribute and collect gently used school supplies.

Families are encouraged to bring any gently used school supplies that they no longer need to the event. This initiative aims to help redistribute resources within the community, ensuring that families who may have surplus supplies can hand them over to those who might find them more useful.

In addition to bringing supplies, families attending the event can also take any supplies they need. This arrangement allows for a practical exchange within the community, where individuals can support each other in preparing for the upcoming school year.

The library intends for this event to foster a spirit of community support and sharing among local families. By hosting this event, the San Antonio Public Library aims to alleviate some of the financial pressures associated with preparing for the new school year.

The remaining school supplies, after the event concludes, will not go to waste. Instead, these supplies will be donated to a local school district. This ensures that the resources continue to benefit students who need them, extending the impact of the event beyond those who attend on the day.

This school supply swap at the Potranco Branch Library is one of several initiatives by the San Antonio Public Library to engage with the community and provide valuable resources. By holding this event, the library underscores its commitment to supporting education and community welfare.

The Potranco Branch Library invites all local families to participate in this event. Whether they are looking to donate items or collect supplies for the school year, families are welcome to join this community event and help support one another.

The event is open to all in the community, and the organizers hope to see a diverse group of families participate. Through events like these, the library aims to strengthen community ties and provide practical support that can make a real difference for families as they prepare for the school term.

Families interested in participating in the school supply swap should plan to attend the event at the Potranco Branch Library on August 3. The library staff will be on hand to assist and facilitate the exchange of supplies, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for all attendees.
