Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the federal government has updated the President’s Major Disaster Declaration to include Hamilton and Travis counties due to the recent flooding in Texas.

Governor Abbott expressed gratitude to President Trump for the swift inclusion of these counties in the disaster declaration.

The federal partnership plays a crucial role in aiding the recovery and rebuilding efforts in the affected areas.

With the updated declaration, Hamilton and Travis counties join a list of others already approved for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance program.

These counties include Burnet, Coke, Concho, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, San Saba, Tom Green, and Williamson.

The FEMA Public Assistance program offers support for emergency work, repair, or replacement of facilities damaged by the disaster.

Additional counties may become eligible for assistance as more information becomes available.

The Major Disaster Declaration enables affected communities to access essential resources needed for rebuilding.

The partnership between federal and state governments is crucial for providing the necessary support to Texans affected by the flooding.

The Texas government continues to assess the situation and prioritize recovery efforts to restore normalcy in the affected regions.

Federal assistance is vital in supporting emergency services, repairing infrastructure, and providing aid to those who have suffered losses due to the floods.

The inclusion of Hamilton and Travis counties in the Major Disaster Declaration underscores the severity of the flooding in these regions.

Governor Abbott emphasizes the resilience of Texans and their capacity to overcome challenges with the support of federal, state, and local entities.

Efforts to recover and rebuild continue as more counties receive approval for federal aid.

The state of Texas remains committed to ensuring a comprehensive response to the flooding, addressing both immediate and long-term needs of affected residents.

Authorities encourage residents in the flood-affected areas to stay informed about available resources and support services.

The state government is actively working with FEMA to streamline the process of delivering aid to those in need.

Governor Abbott reassures Texans of ongoing efforts to address the impact of the flooding and restore affected communities.
