KERRVILLE, Texas — President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump visited Kerrville to meet families affected by recent flooding in the Texas Hill Country and review ongoing disaster response efforts.

The visit came amid a crisis that has claimed at least 121 lives and left more than 170 people missing following historic floods that swept through the region.

President Trump toured damaged areas near the Guadalupe River alongside Texas Governor Greg Abbott, met with local officials, first responders, and flood survivors, and participated in a roundtable discussion focused on emergency response and recovery plans.

During the visit, the president acknowledged the nation’s sorrow over the disaster and offered condolences to victims’ families. He specifically referenced the tragedy at Camp Mystic, a century-old Christian girls’ summer camp where at least 27 people died.

President Trump praised the efforts of local and state responders and pledged continued federal support for recovery and rebuilding efforts in the affected communities.

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) officials joined the visit to coordinate ongoing aid distribution with state and local authorities.

Local emergency teams remain active in search, rescue, and recovery operations as officials continue to locate missing individuals and address the needs of displaced residents.
