A 6-month-old girl died after being attacked by a dog on Tuesday at the Inverness Gardens apartments in Baytown, Texas.
Baytown Police reported that the incident occurred just before 4 p.m. when the family’s dog attacked the infant.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and immediately transported the baby to the hospital. Despite medical efforts, the infant succumbed to her injuries.
Baytown Animal Services removed two dogs from the scene. According to the authorities, both dogs belonged to the baby’s parents.
The authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the ongoing investigation or the specific breeds of the dogs involved.
