A Houston magistrate has set a $5 million bail for 21-year-old Kendrick Montgomery, who is accused of opening fire at The Address Bar & Grill on March 2, injuring five people.

The shooting left three men, aged 58, 36, and 31, and two women, aged 43 and 32, injured. Two victims remain in critical condition, while the others have been released from the hospital.

Montgomery was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The $5 million bail was set to ensure his continued custody as the investigation progresses.

Authorities are investigating the motive behind the shooting and reviewing surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts.

The incident occurred during a regular weekend event at the popular nightclub, with patrons scrambling for safety as shots were fired.

Local officials are urging the community to support the ongoing investigation by providing any information or additional footage. Montgomery’s legal team has not made a public statement regarding the charges.

The case remains under investigation, with the outcome likely to have broader implications for the community and the individuals involved.
