MANILA, Philippines — Actress Nadine Lustre recently addressed a light-hearted question during an interview promoting her upcoming film, Uninvited.
The inquiry, posed on the online series BGRY available on TFC’s YouTube channel, asked how she would respond if she were “uninvited” to a hypothetical wedding of an ex-boyfriend.
Lustre responded, “Okay lang, hindi ako pupunta. Enjoy!” (“It’s okay. I’m not going. Enjoy!”).
When asked if she would attend if invited, she added, “Hindi ako pupunta. Kaya niyo na ‘yan, guys!” (“I’m not going. You can handle it, guys!”). Her remarks, delivered with a smile, reflected her lighthearted response to the scenario.
The question referenced her role in Uninvited, an official entry in the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Directed by Dan Villegas, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Vilma Santos, Aga Muhlach, Gabby Padilla, Elijah Canlas, Mylene Dizon, Tirso Cruz III, and Ketchup Eusebio.
The movie explores themes of familial and romantic complexities, with Lustre playing a significant role.
Lustre is currently in a relationship with Christophe Bariou, a French-Filipino entrepreneur.
She was previously linked to James Reid, her co-star in projects such as Never Not Love You, Diary ng Panget, and the television series On the Wings of Love.
Despite their romantic separation, Lustre and Reid remain notable figures in Philippine entertainment, collectively known by fans as “JaDine.”
