HOUSTON, Texas — Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale has returned to the public eye following his recent open-heart surgery.
The well-known Houston businessman expressed gratitude upon his return to work, saying, “I’m glad to be back at work.”
He shared an exchange with his doctor, stating, “I asked my doctor, I said, ‘What should I do, doc?’ He said, ‘Go back to work.’ I said, ‘you’re my kind of guy.'”
McIngvale, known for his philanthropic efforts and community involvement, underwent the surgical procedure recently. He noted the outpouring of support he received from the community and expressed his appreciation for the prayers and messages during his recovery.
Friends, family, and fans welcomed McIngvale back, showing their support and admiration for his resilience and dedication to his work. Many gathered outside Gallery Furniture, his store in Houston, to greet him as he resumed his regular activities.
Though the surgery was a serious medical procedure, McIngvale’s positive attitude and determination have fueled his recovery. His sense of humor and passion for his work have been evident as he resumes his daily routine.
