Julian Lennon, the son of iconic musician John Lennon, expressed profound gratitude to his dermatologist, Dr. Tess Mauricio, for her role in identifying and addressing a potentially life-threatening medical condition.
Dr. Mauricio, a Filipino American, discovered cancerous moles on Lennon’s body, leading to prompt surgical intervention to prevent the spread of skin cancer.
The acknowledgment came through social media, where Lennon shared his appreciation.
In a detailed Instagram post, he narrated the sequence of events. Before traveling from Los Angeles to New York for appearances on “Good Morning America,” Sirius XM, iHeart Radio, and a book signing event at Fotografiska, Lennon had a routine check-up with Dr. Mauricio.
During this visit, she identified moles that required immediate medical attention, one of which was diagnosed as melanoma.
Lennon recounted how Dr. Mauricio urgently contacted him after his New York engagements, advising him to return to Los Angeles for surgery.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Tim Neavin, a surgeon recommended by Dr. Mauricio.
Lennon expressed deep appreciation for their quick coordination, stating they once again “hopefully saved my life.”
Julian Lennon is among several high-profile clients who trust Dr. Mauricio with their dermatological health. Her M Beauty clinics, located in San Diego and Beverly Hills, serve numerous celebrities, including Paula Abdul and Cardi B.
