MANILA, Philippines — Choco Mucho Flying Titans setter Deanna Wong is making strides toward a return to the court.

Currently dealing with a nagging knee injury, Wong has been sidelined for the first six games of the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

Her coach, Dante Alinsunurin, has expressed optimism about her recovery and potential comeback.

Wong’s injury has been a concern for the team since last year. It has prevented her from participating in extended play since the last season, creating a gap in the team’s lineup.

Despite the setbacks, Wong has recently started ball training with her team, aiming for a return in the upcoming year.

Choco Mucho’s management and coaching staff have been cautious about Wong’s recovery process.

They are prioritizing her health over rushing her back into the games. The timeline for her return remains uncertain, with the team adopting a day-to-day approach to her rehabilitation.

For now, Wong’s focus remains on her recovery, with the ultimate goal of returning to top form.
