The Bureau of Immigration (BI) in the Philippines anticipates a significant increase in traveler numbers during the upcoming holiday season.

Officials are predicting that over 110,000 people will be arriving and departing, surpassing figures seen in previous years, including those recorded before the pandemic.

This expected rise in traveler numbers marks a milestone for the BI, as it indicates a return to, and potentially an increase over, pre-pandemic travel activity.

The holiday period is traditionally one of the busiest for travel, and this year is expected to follow that trend, with many people eager to visit family and friends or enjoy vacation time.

Officials have been working closely with airlines and airport authorities to coordinate efforts in anticipation of the busy travel season.
