Marcos targets future agricultural partnerships with Chile

MANILA, Philippines –President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is considering future agricultural partnerships with Chile, according to the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) on Saturday.

Marcos said the government is exploring various strategies to enhance its cultivation and processing of cacao in the Philippines. 

The Philippines has been actively seeking international partnerships to enhance its agricultural sector.

The potential collaboration reflects a desire to learn from Chile’s extensive experience in agriculture, particularly in areas where the Philippines aims to expand.

Chile’s agricultural practices are regarded for their efficiency and innovation, positioning the country as a leader in the sector.
