Burnet man receives life sentence for continuous sexual assault of child

AUSTIN, Texas– A Williamson County jury found a 61-year-old man guilty of continuous sexual assault of a child.

Robert Jamerson a resident of Burnet, Texas, faced serious allegations related to his misconduct with a minor over an extended period.

The prosecution presented evidence demonstrating a pattern of abuse that occurred multiple times, violating Texas law.

Medical professionals and child psychologists took the stand to offer their expert opinions on the effects of such abuse on a child’s mental and physical health.

The defense presented its case in an attempt to undermine the credibility of the witnesses. They argued inconsistencies in the testimonies and questioned the reliability of certain evidence.

The jury, composed of residents from the local community, deliberated for just 30 minutes before reaching their decision.

Jamerson received a life sentence for his crimes, reflecting the severity of his actions and the impact on the victim.
