Israeli airstrike targets Gaza, kills World Central Kitchen staff

Five individuals, including workers from the World Central Kitchen charity were killed after an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle in the Gaza Strip.

According to their statement, the targeted individual was believed to be involved in a recent attack by Hamas on Israeli territory. The military’s statement did not provide further details about the specific allegations or the identity of the individual.

World Central Kitchen, led by founder and renowned chef José Andrés, said the organization is actively seeking more information about the incident.

In a public statement, they emphasized their commitment to transparency and their focus on continuing their mission of providing humanitarian aid, despite the challenges and risks involved.

The charity’s operations in Gaza, which have been ongoing for several years, aim to deliver meals and food supplies to communities affected by conflict and poverty.
