Jennifer Lopez Files for Divorce from Ben Affleck

Celebrity power couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s whirlwind romance has come to an end, as Lopez has filed for divorce from Affleck in Los Angeles Superior Court. The filing marks the apparent end of a two-decade-long on-again, off-again relationship that captivated the public eye.

End of a Two-Decade Relationship

Some relationships are meant to last, but others, no matter how hard we try, just aren’t meant to be. Such is the case with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who have called it quits after rekindling their romance two decades later.

Breakup rumors had been swirling around the couple, but it wasn’t until Lopez filed for divorce that the news was officially confirmed. The couple’s relationship was a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, with two engagements, two weddings, and countless headlines. Despite their efforts to make it work, it seems that their love story has come to an end.

Early 2000s Romance and Film Collaborations

If the early 2000s were any indication, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were meant to be. They met, fell in love, and got engaged, starring together in the infamous 2003 film “Gigli” and 2004’s “Jersey Girl”. However, the pressure of the public eye took its toll, and they parted ways.

Reunion and Double Weddings in 2022

Bennifer was back, and this time, it seemed like they were meant to last. After reuniting two decades later, they married twice in 2022 – first in a quickie Las Vegas wedding and then in a grand ceremony at Affleck’s house in Georgia.

Film played a significant role in their reunion, with Lopez starring in the upcoming “Unstoppable” under Affleck and Matt Damon’s Artists Equity banner. In May, she starred in the Netflix movie “Atlas”, and was set to begin on a 2024 North American tour before canceling it to spend time with her family.
