The Bureau of Immigration (BI) arrested four Chinese nationals on Tuesday for illegal employment at a construction site in Minalin, Pampanga, the agency reported.

BI’s Intelligence Division conducted the operation after receiving a tip about unauthorized foreign workers at the location.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco confirmed the arrests and reiterated the bureau’s commitment to enforcing immigration laws and preventing illegal employment. The Chinese nationals worked in positions that violated their visa conditions and lacked the proper work permits required for their duties.

Authorities took the four individuals into custody for investigation and processing under existing immigration laws. They now face possible deportation and blacklisting from re-entering the Philippines.

The agency also warned both employers and foreign workers about the consequences of violating immigration and labor regulations.
