MANILA, Philippines — June Mar Fajardo retained his lead in the Best Player of the Conference (BPC) statistical race following the conclusion of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup semifinals, the league reported.

Fajardo, the veteran center of the San Miguel Beermen, posted 39.6 statistical points to top all contenders. His consistent and dominant performance has been instrumental in the Beermen’s advance to the finals, where they will face the TNT Tropang Giga — a team currently pursuing a rare Grand Slam this season.

San Miguel secured its spot in the championship series after eliminating fan-favorite Barangay Ginebra in the semifinals. Fajardo’s contributions on both ends of the floor played a pivotal role in the series, solidifying his status as a frontrunner for the BPC award.

The Best Player of the Conference award is based on a combination of individual statistics and team success, with Fajardo leading all players in cumulative statistical points. His performance has remained consistent throughout the conference, further strengthening his candidacy for the honor.

With the finals approaching, the Beermen are expected to rely heavily on Fajardo’s presence in the paint. The matchup against TNT adds high stakes to the series, as the Tropang Giga aim to complete a historic Grand Slam.

The PBA Philippine Cup has featured standout performances across the league, but Fajardo’s dominance continues to be a central storyline. All eyes now turn to the finals, where he and the Beermen seek to halt TNT’s Grand Slam bid and capture another championship.
