MANILA, Philippines– Vice President Sara Duterte arrived in The Hague, Netherlands, on Saturday to visit her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is detained by the International Criminal Court (ICC) due to charges of crimes against humanity.
The ICC detained Rodrigo Duterte following accusations related to his war on drugs during his presidency, which led to numerous deaths and alleged human rights violations.
Vice President Duterte, in a statement, confirmed her visit to her father and mentioned that she plans to remain in The Hague until July.
