FIBA Asia Cup 2025: Gilas adds RJ Abarrientos, Rhenz Abando, and two more to pool

Gilas Pilipinas has added four players to its roster for the upcoming FIBA Asia Cup in Saudi Arabia next month.

Coach Tim Cone confirmed the inclusion of RJ Abarrientos, Troy Rosario, Zavier Lucero, and Rhenz Abando on Monday. The announcement followed the team’s first day of practice, which was conducted under limited circumstances due to various constraints.

RJ Abarrientos and Troy Rosario are currently playing for Barangay Ginebra, while Zavier Lucero and Rhenz Abando are with Magnolia.

The FIBA Asia Cup will feature national teams from across the continent, with Gilas Pilipinas actively preparing through ongoing practices.

The tournament is a significant event in the international basketball calendar, and the team aims to perform strongly and represent the Philippines effectively under the leadership of Coach Tim Cone. The FIBA Asia Cup is scheduled for next month in Saudi Arabia.
