MANILA, Philippines– A witness in a high-profile investigation alleges that actress Gretchen Barretto attended a meeting with businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang and his associates, where the abduction of missing cockfight enthusiasts—also known as sabungeros—was discussed.

The claim emerged from testimony by Julie “Dondon” Patidongan, who shifted to cooperating witness status, during ongoing inquiries into the disappearance of several sabungeros.

Authorities say the meeting convened key figures in the alleged plot, though exact details on attendees and Barretto’s role remain under investigation.

Patidongan’s statement asserts that participants at the meeting spoke about the whereabouts and fate of the missing individuals. The testimonies are part of a broader probe into the suspected abductions.

Atong Ang, a central figure in the case, denies any participation in the alleged abduction discussions. Gretchen Barretto has not publicly addressed the allegations.
